Full course description

Without the immediacy that is inherent in the in-person classroom, educators may find it more challenging to assess students' understanding of key concepts. This training module offers an in-depth approach to integrating a variety of formative and summative assessments into a distance learning course. With student success as a founding principle, the module guides users through an overview of assessment types as well as when to apply each to their specific student groups. Learn how you might strategically offer students multiple attempts on quizzes ,or proactively grade or not grade particular assessments, all while evaluating your own approach to distance learning assessments and your personal students.
