Full course description
This training module helps ensure educators approach distance learning with an equity mindset. Beginning with definitions and opportunities for personal reflection, the module summarizes the challenges surrounding the emotions of belonging faced by historically marginalized students and the impact these emotions can have on their academic progress. You will learn about overcoming bias and stereotype threat as well as strategies to diminish the negative impacts of students' uncertainty bias through culturally responsive teaching practices. The training also allows for direct-to-classroom application by concluding with creating your own plan for implementing equity in your digital classroom.
