Educators know that formative assessments are fundamental to monitoring student progress, but folding in formative assessments to a distance or hybrid learning environment might feel challenging. However, there are numerous strategies for varying and integrating formative assessments in a synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid modality, and this training helps educators better understand the strategies in the contexts of their own classrooms. With a downloadable planning template embedded, the module offers research-based questions to consider as you decide what to assess, how to provide effective feedback to students, and how to collect and use the data from your formative assessments to support student success.
